Waydev, one of the pioneers of the Git Analytics market, announced that it was buying Syrah.co domain, the domain was of an early-stage startup that has built an online platform for writing tools. The companies did not share the terms.
Alex Circei, co-founder and CEO at Waydev, says he bought this domain to enhance the domain visibility. “Our platform is at a place where we’re confident about our ability to provide engineering leadership with reliable metrics. We’re moving to the next phase of scaling the company. In order to do that, we have to have access to people who produce content. We’ll work along Syrah.co domain to pursue and exceed our targets regarding the growth of the Git Analytics market.” Alex explained.
The Git Analytics market is still a growing market, but it has taken the engineering leadership ecosystem by storm. Git Analytics tools act as an add-on to the current Agile software development methodology. They enable engineering leaders to make data-driven decisions, increase visibility over the engineering process, and increase the delivery quality and velocity.
Syrah.co domain was of a small organization, but it was a good visibility, which Waydev can now access. For now, Alex says the domains will not remain separate, and Syrah.co will continue to be redirected the Waydev domain.
Syrah was based in Brooklyn; it had raised an unidentified pre-seed round before being acquired today. Waydev, which is based in San Francisco, is a member of the Y Combinator Startup School community.
